MACON, Ga. – The Young Harris College women’s cross country team competed Saturday (Sept. 10) morning at the Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational at the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home course.
The Mountain Lions had 143 points and finished sixth out of 11 teams. SCAD Savannah won the meet with 31 points.
Erica Brooks led YHC with her 12th-place finish on the 5K course with a time of 20:33.36 while Zeddy Jepkosgei recorded a top-20 effort with a 20th place time of 21:27.46. Alison Missler finished in 21st place with a time of 21:35.84 followed by Nicole Webb (44th, 23:00.56), Heather Richbourg (46th, 23:05.67), Robyn Finley (49th, 23:17.76), Christelle Verab (54th, 23:35.00), Kristin Fuhs (58th, 23:54.19), Lindsey Coleman (62nd, 24:10.50) and Katie Richardson (90th, 29:06.42).
The Mountain Lions return to action Sept. 30 when they travel to Charlotte, N.C. for the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational at 4 p.m.
