Mountain Lions corral Bearcats 5-3

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.  – Young Harris College claimed a 5-3 Peach Belt Conference women's tennis victory over Lander University Saturday (March 30) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Mountain Lions, who are ranked No. 34 in the latest ITA NCAA Division II rankings, improved to 13-4 overall and to 7-3 in the Peach Belt while the Bearcats slipped to 6-6 and 3-5. Young Harris returns to the courts Tuesday (April 2) when they travel to Dahlonega, Ga., for a 2 p.m. first serve against PBC-foe and cross-mountain rival University of North Georgia.
Young Harris found itself in a 2-1 deficit in the doubles before the Mountain Lions took four of the five completed singles matches to claim the win.
