AUGUSTA, Ga. – Members of the Young Harris College women’s tennis team travelled to the Newman Tennis Center this past weekend (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) and competed in the 2011 Chick-fil-A Collegiate Tennis Championships hosted by Augusta State University.

The Mountain Lions captured four of the six flights that were competed.  Jane Plevako (No. 1), Lina Parra Pava (No. 2), Charlotte Dawson (No. 3) captured singles titles while Dawson and Plevako teamed up to win the doubles flight No. 1.
 
Young Harris also recorded runner-up finishes in three other flights.  Stormy Dvorak placed second in the singles flight No. 3 while Katie Bryant did the same in the singles flight No. 4. Dvorak and Pava finished in second in the doubles flight No. 2.
  
The Mountain Lions return to the court Sunday (Oct. 9) when they travel to Greeneville, Tenn., for a 2 p.m. match against Tusculum College to wrap up their fall season.
