HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Young Harris College women’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision on Tuesday to No. 28 Florida Tech.

In doubles play, Abigail Grief and Monica Price defeated Victoria Herndon and Sara Gillispie, 8-2, while Sarah Deese and Kelly Boyd fell to Alexis Weinning and Abbey Keister, 8-0. Sara Rodgers and Mary Beth Maxwell lost to Stephanie Dohner and Elizabeth Hensley, 8-0.

In singles competition, Katarina Huba beat Gillispie, 6-1, 6-0, while Greif downed Deese, 6-0, 6-0. Kristina Huba knocked off Rodgers, 6-1, 6-0, and Monica Price topped Herndon, 6-0, 6-0. Maxwell lost to Dohner, 6-0, 6-0, and Keister defeated Boyd, 6-0, 6-0.

Young Harris returns to action 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 9 in Hilton Head, S.C., against Palm Beach Atlantic.
