Brett Beazley has been the head coach of the men's and women's golf teams at Young Harris College since 2009.

In his first season with the Mountain Lions, he led the women's team to a NJCAA regional championship.

In addition to his coaching duties, Beazley is also the director of camps and conferences at Young Harris. Beazley worked closely with Chick-fil-A and the WinShape Foundation in 2010 to expand a new one-week camp for girls at the college.

Aside from coaching at Young Harris, Beazley owns extensive credentials as a teacher of the game as well as on the business side of the sport. A certified golf professional by the Professional Golfers Association, Beazley is the vice president and co-founder of Tri-County Juniors, planning and managing the golf program for youth in the surrounding three-county area since 2001.

Prior to joining Young Harris in 2009, Beazley spent three years working at The Ridges Resort.  He started as the resort's director of golf, overseeing all golf-related activities for resort guests, business conferences and the Ridges' private members, while also overseeing golf course maintenance, landscaping and course redesign.  He also oversaw the development of plans and managed the addition of a new fitness center, pool and tennis courts and a community park. He later became The Ridges' general manager, overseeing hotel operations, business conferences and events while maintaining complete operational responsibility.

Before his stint with The Ridges, Beazley was the head golf professional at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, managing all golf operations and merchandising for the resort from 1997-2005.  He has also served as the head golf pro at Crickentree Golf Club in Blythewood, S.C., and an assistant pro at Fernandina Beach Golf Club (Jacksonville, Fla.), Oak Hills Golf Club (Columbia, S.C.) and Long Point Golf Club at Amelia Island Plantation (Amelia Island, Fla.).

Beazley's merchandising accomplishments have earned him acclaim, bringing him the Georgia Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year award in the resort category in 1998.  He also had an article titled "Serving Up Sales" published in the May 2000 issue of PGA Magazine.

He is strongly attached to the local community, serving on the Executive Board of the Towns County Chamber of Commerce.  He has also served on the board of directors of the Towns County Board of Tourism.  Beazley founded the "Tee-It-Up-For-Tots" Christmas gift program for children in 1996.

He earned a bachelor's degree in commercial recreation management from Georgia Southern University in 1987.
