ROME, Ga. – The Young Harris College women’s golf team competed in the final round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational hosted by Berry College Tuesday (Oct. 4) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions finished in sixth place in the 13-team event at the Stonebridge Golf Club with a score of 685 after carding a 346 in the final round.
Courtney Moore earned all-tournament honors for the second consecutive tournament as she finished in third place overall with a score of 157 in the tournament after a final round of 79 on the par 72, 5,793-yard layout. Kelsey McEntyre just missed a top-20 effort as she tied for 23rd place at 170 after an 87 while Rachel Mason came in 28th at 172 after an 85. Carol Raterman finished in 51st place at 186 after a 95 while Katie Bludworth tied for 52nd at 189 after a final round 96.
Shorter University won the tournament with a two-day score of 629 while the Hawks’ Lisa Persson earned medalist honors with a score of 146.
Young Harris wraps up its fall season when they host the Mountain Lions Invitational Oct. 17 in Blairsville, Ga.
