Young Harris College in sixth place after day one of UWG Invitational
CARROLTON, Ga. – The Young Harris College women's golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the UWG Invitational Saturday (March 17) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions shot 354 on the par 72, 5,925-yard layout at the Sunset Hills Country Club. Columbus State University holds a two-stroke advantage over tournament host University of West Georgia to lead the eight-team field at 322.
Courtney Moore had the top finish of the day for the Mountain Lions after her 81 puts her in a tie for eighth place. Rachel Mason is tied for 24th after a 90 while Kelsey McEntyre had a 91 and is in 27th place. Carol Raterman is one place back in 28th after a 92 while Katie Bludworth shot 105 and is in 36th place.
Columbus State's Nikki Crowley leads the 43-player field after shooting an even-par round of 72.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Sunday (March 18).
