YOUNG HARRIS – When you look at the 2011 recruiting class, there are several things that just jump out at you: First and foremost, these players are truly scholar-athletes. They come from highly successful high school programs. Collectively, they all started on teams that finished in the “Sweet Sixteen”, two were named Region MVP’s, and a pair played on State Championship Teams. They played for outstanding high school coaches, who taught the fundamentals of basketball, resulting in skilled position players with tremendous work ethic. They are winners! “We are excited about the potential impact this class can bring to our young basketball program,” Young Harris College head women’s coach Brenda Paul said. “Combined with the early signees, this class has great balance with two guards, two small forwards, two power forwards, and one center.”
