Mountain Lions hand Reinhardt first loss of the season with 7-2 victory

WALESKA, Ga. – Young Harris College handed Reinhardt University its first loss of the season as the Mountain Lions defeated the Eagles 7-2 in a non-conference men's tennis match Monday (March 24) afternoon.

The Mountain Lions improved to 9-5 while the Eagles fell to 7-1. Young Harris steps back into conference play Wednesday (March 26) when they host cross-mountain rival University of North Georgia at 2 p.m. at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex in the annual Battle for Blood Mountain match. Currently the year-long competition between the two institutions is tied at 2.5 points entering the spring sports season.

Young Harris took a 3-0 lead after doubles and then captured four singles matches – all in straight sets – to claim the win.
