Medina earned all-tournament honors at final tournament of the season

CLARKESVILLE, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team wrapped up their 2011-12 season Monday and Tuesday (April 2-3) at the Piedmont Spring Invitational.

Young Harris finished third in the 36-hole tournament at the par 72, 6,715-yard layout at the Orchard Golf & Country Club. The Mountain Lions shot back-to-back rounds of 316 to finish the tournament at 632. Gordon Community College won the seven-team field with a score of 600.

Cameron Medina earned All-Tournament honors as he finished in a tie for third place at 151 after rounds of 78 and a career-low 73. Chase Hankla tied for sixth place at 152 with scores of 74 and 78 while Matthew Peeler tied for 23rd place at 162 after rounds of 80 and 82. Gage Killian finished in 26th at 168 with back-to-back rounds of 84 while senior Caleb Kelley played in his final event and finished in a tie for 28th place at 172 with rounds of 89 and 83.

Truett-McConnell College's Devin Broadway earned medalist honors with a score of 145.
