Heath Hooper enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College men's basketball program.

Hooper, who graduated from Towns County High School, played collegiate basketball all four years at Reinhardt College (now Reinhardt University). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports administration with a minor in business administration.

While playing at Reinhardt, Hooper was recognized as an Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete as well as a Musco Lighting Champion of Character award winner by the Southern States Athletic Conference.

After graduation, Hooper worked as an assistant men's basketball coach at Reinhardt and was the head junior varsity basketball coach for one year. Hooper’s duties included but were not limited to recruiting, fundraising, travel, film and individual workouts.

Hooper completed his master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration in the summer of 2011 from Concordia (Calif.) University.
