Title: Assistant Coach

Trent Ashcraft enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College baseball program.

 Ashcraft spent two seasons playing for head coach Rick Robinson at Young Harris College, helping the Mountain Lions compile an 89-22 record and two regular-season conference championships in 2005 and 2006. His .356 career average ranks among the all-time leaders in school history.

After leaving Young Harris, Ashcraft attended East Carolina University, where he was an outfielder for the Pirates from 2007-09, winning one regular-season Conference USA Championship and one NCAA regional championship during that time.

In the summer of 2008, Ashcraft played for the Hyannis Mets and  for Robinson in the prestigious Cape Cod League. During that season, Ashcraft received an All-Star selection and ranked among the league leaders in hits (fourth), stolen bases (sixth), average (seventh) and RBI (eighth).

Ashcraft received his bachelor’s degree in communication and business administration from East Carolina in 2009. The Brentwood, Tenn., native currently resides in Young Harris.
