Jared Luke begins his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Young Harris College.
The Lawrenceville, Ga., native covers men’s basketball, softball, and men's and women's cross country for the Mountain Lions.
Luke came to Young Harris after spending two years as an athletic trainer at SCAD Savannah where he worked with the men’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, and softball teams.
Luke earned his bachelor’s degree in sports medicine/athletic training in 2007 from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga. While with the Blazers, Luke worked with the NCAA Division II National Champion football team as well as the baseball and men’s basketball squads. He also worked at nearby Lowndes High School.
Luke, who also interned with Southern Orthopaedics Specialists, earned his master’s degree in human performance from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Ga. Luke worked with the women’s soccer and softball teams for the Bobcats.
